Welcome to cansta     

Cansta is short for Canterbury School Trustees Association.  We are a charitable organisation established as a Governance support service for School Boards in the Canterbury, Nelson, marlborough and west Coast  Regions.  

We have a Committee of six members - to learn more about our representatives go to our committee

Membership 

Membership of CanSTA provides local trustees with opportunities to network with other trustees and to attend seminars on a wide range of topical issues.
We are an organisation for local trustees run by local trustees.

This article is written by Chris Hooker (Cashmere High School) who is a National Executive member of New Zealand Association of Cousellors (NZAC) and is also School Counsellor Portfolio Manager.  In the paper Chris examines the current issue of school counsellors within schools and the possible impact to schools and school Boards should the status quo cease to exist.
